Demopolis Employee Arrested For Sexual Misconduct With Inmate

DEMOPOLIS, AL — A woman employed with the City of Demopolis who worked at a correctional facility there has been arrested and charged with sexual misconduct. Barbara Blevins, 48, is accused of having sexual relations with an inmate assigned to the Camden Community Based Facility/Work Center.

A report by ABC 33/40 said authorities with the Alabama Department of Corrections Investigations and Intelligence Division arrested Blevins on five counts of sexual misconduct.

The report said the inmate does not face criminal charges, but ADOC disciplinary action is pending. An anonymous tip led to the investigation and subsequent arrest.
