MLB All-Star Tim Hudson To Join Auburn Coaching Staff
Alabama native and former MLB pitcher Tim Hudson has joined the Auburn baseball team's coaching staff as a volunteer pitching coach.

AUBURN, AL — The Auburn Tigers baseball team has made a significant addition to its coachng staff, as the university announced that former Major Leaguer Tim Hudson will join the staff as a volunteer pitching coach.
Hudson, a Phenix City native who pitched and played outfield for Auburn in 1996 and 1997, spent 17 season in the big leagues with the Oakland A's, Atlanta Braves and San Francisco Giants. He was a four-time All Star, a World Series champion with the an Francisco Giants in 2014 and is a member of the Atlanta Braves Hall of Fame.
At the time of his retirement in 2015, Hudson was one of only 21 pitchers in MLB history to win at least 200 games, post 2,000 strikeouts and have a .600-or-higher career winning percentage.

"Tim has already impacted Auburn baseball, Auburn University and our community enough to last a lifetime," said Auburn head coach Butch Thompson in a press release Tuesday. "But amazing people always seem to have more to give, and that couldn't be more true for Tim and Kim Hudson. I've never been more excited for our current pitchers and future recruits to be able to learn from one of the best competitors of all time. I believe Tim's experience makes Auburn the premier pitching development experience in amateur baseball."
"I appreciate Coach Thompson for giving me the opportunity to join the great coaching staff at Auburn baseball," Hudson said. "I'm thrilled to have the chance to work with these young men and help them build on a successful and memorable 2019 season."
