1 Teen Killed, Another Injured In Birmingham Shooting

A drive-by shooting Wednesday night in Birmingham's Inglenook community claimed the life of a 16-year-old victim.

BIRMINGHAM, AL — A Birmingham teenager is dead and another wounded after a shooting in east Birmingham Wednesday night. Savion Issabell, 16, was shot and killed just after 11 p.m. at a home at 3605 40th Street North in Birmingham's Inglenook community.

Sgt. Rod Mauldin of the Birmingham Police Department said the incident has been described as a drive-by shooting. Issabell and another teenager were struck by gunfire while inside the home. The other shooting victim was taken to an area hospital with injuries that are not thought to be life-threatening, Mauldin said.
