19-Year-Old Shot And Killed In East Birmingham

BIRMINGHAM, AL — A shooting Sunday night in east Birmingham claimed the life of a 19-year-old victim. The incident occurred just after 11 p.m. on Interlaken Avenue.

Officer Truman Fitzgerald of the Birmingham Police Department said multiple shots were fired in the area, and police arrived to find Demonteco Usher, 19, of Birmingham, dead on the scene.

Fitzgerald said limited information is available about the case, and no suspects are in custody.
