20-Year Old Man Killed In East Birmingham Shooting

BIRMINGHAM, AL — A shooting in east Birmingham resulted in the death of a 20-year-old man Monday night. The victim was found at a Chevron station at 8730 1st Avenue North just before 10:30 p.m.

Birmingham police say Dentarius Maurice Jackson was found at the scene suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to UAB Hospital where he was later pronounced dead. The investigation suggests that Jackson was shot at a different location and was taken to the Chevron station for assistance.
