ALDOT Announces More Road Closures In Downtown Birmingham
The Alabama Department of Transportation has announced more lane closures in downtown Birmingham
BIRMINGHAM, AL - The Alabama Department of Transportation has announced that two lanes of Interstate 65 North in downtown Birmingham will be closed from 8 p.m. Friday until noon on Saturday. The closures are necessary as work continues on the redesign of Interstate 59/20 interchanges with I-65 and the Red Mountain Expressway.
ALDOT also announced that the ramp from I-59/20 South to I-65 South will be closed overnight on Monday and Tuesday of next week from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m.
The ramp from Red Mountain Expressway to I-59/20 North also will be closed from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. every night during the week.
