Alabama Back To School Sales Tax Holiday Set For July 19-21
July 19 through 21 is the time to get school clothes, supplies and more during Alabama's sales tax holiday weekend.

BIRMINGHAM, AL - Getting kids ready for a new school year is a daunting - and often expensive - task. With new clothes, supplies, gadgets and more needed to start the school year piled on the list for parents to purchase, Alabama has established a brief window of relief in the form of a sales tax holiday for certain items.
The sales tax holiday takes place July 19-21, during which time selected items for back-to-school needs will be sales tax-exempt - although in some areas, local tax may apply.
