BIRMINGHAM, AL — The Beach Boys are coming to the Alabama Theatre in 2020. The iconic California band will play in Birmingham on Feb. 12, and tickets are now on sale.

Alabama Theatre is a historic movie palace in Birmingham, built in 1927. Today, it serves as one of the city's leading performing arts centers, and has an impressive capacity over 2,000. Legendary musicians including B.B. King, Kings of Leon, the Black Crowes and Taylor Hicks have all played here.

In February, add The Beach Boys to the list of icons. The influential group was founded in Hawthorne, California, in 1961, and the band is known for creating early surf music and representing counterculture of the era. With 36 songs on the U.S. Top 40, they have the most hits of any American rock band.
