Birmingham Burger Chain Named One Of Nation's Best
A recent poll of the best regional fast food chains in the country has a Birmingham-based chain at Alabama's best.
BIRMINGHAM, AL — A recent poll ranking the best regional fast food restaurants has a Birmingham-based burger chain listed as Alabama's best. Milo's Original Burger Shop ranked among the nation's best, according to the poll.
Far and Wide, a national online food and travel website, praised Milo's sauce in its explanation for tapping the restaurant as the state's best.
"This sauce is the key ingredient on a patty topped with onions and pickles and served inside a toasted bun," the article states. "Milo's also adds a 'Little Something Extra' to all its burgers — an extra strip of meat for additional heft."

Milo's was started in 1946 by Milo Carlton, who opened his first restaurant in downtown Birmingham. The chain has 20 locations, all in Alabama.
