Birmingham Man Killed In House Fire
A 70-year-old Birmingham man was killed in a house fire Thursday night on 2nd Avenue North.
BIRMINGHAM, AL — A house fire on 2nd Avenue North in Birmingham Thursday night resulted in the death of a 70-year-old man. Authur Lee Smoot's body was found in the home after the fire was extinguished, according to an ABC 33/40 report.
Birmingham Fire & Rescue arrived at the home in the 3800 block of 2nd Avenue North just after 8:30 p.m. The cause if the fire is still under investigation.
