Birmingham Native Jordan Fisher Powers Through 'Dancing With The Stars'

The Disney Channel and "Hamilton" star was called safe for another week, while receiving the highest score of the competition season so far.

TRUSSVILLE, AL — As the competition enters its fifth week, Birmingham native Jordan Fisher is making the best of his time on "Dancing With The Stars" Season 25. The Disney Channel and "Hamilton" star, as well as his professional partner Lindsay Arnold, was called safe for another week, while putting forward the highest score of the competition season so far.

In their first week, Fisher and Arnold scored 24 out of 30 with their Viennese waltz. They followed that up with an equally impressive samba in week two that also received a 24. The pair's Charleston got mixed reviews from judges, but gave them a quick score jump up to 25. Then in the fourth week, the duo earned a near perfect score of 29 for their emotional contemporary piece inspired by Fisher's turbulent home life.

"Dancing With The Stars" airs on Mondays at 7 p.m. on ABC. (For more updates on this story and free news alerts for your neighborhood, sign up for your local Birmingham Patch morning newsletter.)
