The Birmingham Police Department reports a Birmingham Police Officer was arrested by Alabama Law Enforcement Agency State Troopers.

The officer arrested has been identified as Lacandra Barlow.

The Birmingham Police Department was notified that Off Duty Officer, Lacandra Barlow was arrested on Monday, July 5 2021 for Driving under the Influence. Immediate actions were taken by the Birmingham Police Department’s Internal Affairs Division. Barlow was relieved of duties and reassigned to administrative duties pending the outcome of further internal investigation.
