Caregiver Arrested For Using Disabled Woman's Debit Card

A 24-year-old caregiver was arrested after police said she used a disabled woman's debit card to make $900 in unauthorized withdrawals.

BIRMINGHAM, AL - A 24-year-old caregiver was arrested after police said she used a disabled woman’s debit card to make $900 in unauthorized withdrawals. Sumaya Page has been charged with fraudulent use of a credit/debit card, according to police.

Police investigated a report of theft at the Center Point assisted living facility on May 1 to investigate a report. Facility staff members reported that the disabled woman had asked them to look over her bank account. The staff members noticed several suspicious withdrawals from the account, police said.

Administrators said Page admitted to making the withdrawals, police said. Page was arrested last week.
