Child, 4, Killed In Birmingham Shooting: Police
Police said the child was shot when two family members fired at each other during an altercation.

BIRMINGHAM, AL — A 4-year-old child was killed in a shooting in Birmingham Saturday afternoon, according to police.
In a statement, Birmingham Police said two family members fired at each other during an altercation, which led to the child being shot. The shooting happened in the area of 33rd Terrace North and F.L. Shuttlesworth Drive around 2:30 p.m.
When police got to the scene, they found the child unresponsive and suffering from a gunshot wound. The child was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Police said they have a suspect in custody.
