Cook Out Opens First Birmingham Location
Mayor Randall Woodfin's wish has been granted, as popular fast food chain Cook Out has opened its first Birmingham restaurant.

BIRMINGHAM, AL — A popular fast food chain has opened its first Birmingham location. Cook Out, a North Carolina-based chain with restaurants already in Tuscaloosa, Jacksonville, Huntsville and Montgomery, opened on 281 Lakeshore Parkway this week.
Birmingham residents have been clamoring for the chain to open a location in the Magic City for some time now, with Birmingham Mayor Randall Woodfin one of the most vocal residents on the matter.

The chain, known for its milkshakes, burgers and barbecue, has purchased more property in the Birmingham area, according to a report by the Birmingham Business Journal in October, with plans to expand its footprint in the area.
