Teen Killed In Drive-By Shooting In West Birmingham
A 17-year-old was shot and killed in west Birmingham Wednesday night, the victim of a drive-by shooting, police say.
BIRMINGHAM, AL — A 17-year-old victim was shot and killed in what police say was a drive-by shooting in west Birmingham Wednesday. The incident occurred around 10 p.m. at at 2737 Jefferson Ave.
Sgt. Rod Mauldin of the Birmingham Police Department said officers found 17-year-old James Williams of Pleasant Grove suffering from a gunshot would to the torso. He was taken to UAB Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Mauldin said the initial investigation suggests that the fatal shots came from a vehicle that left the scene.
