Fatal Shooting In Birmingham Ruled Justifiable Homicide: Police
The May 17 shooting death of 25-year-old Tavarius Hampton has been ruled a justifiable homicide by Birmingham police.
BIRMINGHAM, AL — The May 17 shooting death of 25-year-old Tavarius Hampton has been ruled a justifiable homicide by the Birmingham Police Department.
Hampton was reportedly seen leaving bag on the porch of a home in the 7700 block of 6th Avenue South and was approached by the occupants of the home, according to Sgt. Rod Mauldin of the Birmingham Police Department.
An altercation among the men escalated into gunfire, Mauldin said, and the Hampton was shot. Hampton was taken to UAB Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
