Update: Flash Flood Watch Remains In Effect For Central Alabama
The flash flood watch remains in effect until 7 p.m. Thursday, according to the National Weather Service.
BIRMINGHAM, AL — The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a flash flood watch for central Alabama. It remains in effect until 7 p.m. Thursday.
Heavy rainfall is expected to continue at times Thursday across the northwestern third of central Alabama, according to the National Weather Service. Threats include isolated flash flooding and minor flooding of poor drainage areas.
Minor flooding is expected to continue along portions of the Tombigbee River basin on through at least Thursday.
