BIRMINGHAM, AL - A bulldog puppy injured in a drive-by shooting is currently in custody of the Greater Birmingham Humane Society, and is in need of costly surgery to save his leg. The GBHS has launched a fundraising campaign to help "Bruce" undergo the surgery.

Bruce was an innocent bystander caught in a crossfire of a drive-by shooting, and was struck in the leg by a bullet. The GBHS is asking for help to fund the special surgery needed to save Bruce's leg.

"We have consulted with our trusted local veterinary specialists and Bruce will require a pin or possibly a plate to save his leg; which will cost an estimated $3,000-$4,500," the GBHS said. "Bruce will be transferred for surgery tomorrow and with your help will find his forever home after his recovery."
