Hot Soup Leaves Baby With 3rd Degree Burns On Face

A nine month old girl was burned by some hot soup and is being treated for severe burns at Children's Hospital in Birmingham.

BIRMINGHAM, AL - A nine-month-old girl is being treated for second and third degree burns after an accident at her home February 20 involving some hot soup. Josie Farquhar, daughter of Opy and Starla Farquhar, has been going through daily surgical debridements to remove the damaged skin on her face, scalp, neck and chest.

A family member of the couple started a GoFundMe page to help the family with expenses related to missed work and extra costs involved in their child's recovery. The campaign has already raised more than half of the $6,000 goal.
