Inmate Found Dead At Prison Near Bessemer

JEFFERSON COUNTY, AL — An inmate at Donaldson Correctional Facility near Bessemer was found dead in his cell. Collis McCaster, who was serving a sentence for a murder conviction, was found dead Sunday morning, according to an ABC 33/40 report.

Officials at the prison said they found no evidence of foul play, and the cause of death is awaiting the results of an autopsy.
