Jefferson County Officials Announce Upcoming Road Closure, Detour
If Heron Drive is part of your regular commute, you may want to seek a different route or plan accordingly. The road will close June 15-17.
JEFFERSON COUNTY, AL — If Heron Drive in Birmingham is part of your regular commute, you may want to seek a different route or adjust your schedule accordingly in the coming days.
A portion of the road between Cochise Trail and Egret Drive will close June 15-17, according to Jefferson County officials.
During that time, county officials said work crews will be removing and replacing a storm drainage culvert.

A detour from Heron Drive will take drivers out to Cherry Avenue from either Cochise Trail or Egret Drive.
