Legion FC's 'Juneteenth' Jersey Auction Raises More Than $5K
The Birmingham Legion's special "Juneteenth Jersey" auction was a success, raising money for the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute.

BIRMINGHAM, AL — Birmingham Legion FC announced that this year's auction for the commemorative, Birmingham Civil Rights Institute-inspired, 'Juneteenth' jerseys that the club wore in its match on June 19 raised more than $5,000 for the Institute.
"Thank you to everyone that bid on a jersey, shared our message and content surrounding the team's tour of the Institute, and that came to the game for your support of the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute, Birmingham Legion FC, and the Birmingham community," the team said in a statement.
Legion FC returns to BBVA Field Wednesday to celebrate Pride Night and to take on Atlanta United 2.
