Man Dies In Shooting At Birmingham Gas Station: Police

BIRMINGHAM, AL - A 28-year-old man was shot to death at a gas station in West Birmingham on Sunday night, police said. The victim died after being transported to UAB Hospital.

The shooting occurred at the Shell gas station located in the 800 block of 3rd Avenue West. Officers found a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest.

Police say the man and an acquaintance were outside the gas station when the shooting occurred. The acquaintance has been detained, police said. The man and his acquaintance have not been identified.
