Man Killed In Sunday Morning Crash On Red Mountain Expressway
Birmingham police and firefighters responded to a wreck in the southbound lanes about 5:30 a.m. and found a black male dead on the scene.

BIRMINGHAM, AL - A wreck early Sunday morning on Elton B. Stephens Expressway left one 24-year-old man dead. Reports say the black male was pronounced dead on the scene of the one-vehicle wreck.
According to Alabama Media Group, the crash happened about 5:30 a.m., and police say the victim lost control of the vehicle and struck the interstate wall. The vehicle came to a rest upside down off the roadway next to the rock mountain.

The victim’s name is being withheld pending notification of his family.
