Man Shot During Dispute At Jefferson County Residence

Law enforcement officials say a dispute at a home in Adger escalated when shots were fired, sending one man to the hospital.

JEFFERSON COUNTY, AL — A man was shot at a home in Adger Friday, which investigators say was the result of a dispute among a group of friends. The incident occurred in the 5400 Block of Sealy Ann Mountain Road.

"According to early reports, there was a group of friends who got into an argument at this residence," Sgt. Joni Money of the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said. "Shots were fired and one person was hit."

Money said the victim was taken to the mine entrance on Sealy Ann Mountain Road by personal vehicle because law enforcement officers had been working there and the people involved in the incident wanted to get the victim help as soon as possible.
