Miles College Offering COVID-19 Vaccines Thursday
COVID-19 vaccines will be available for eligible recipients Thursday at Miles College beginning at 9 a.m.
FAIRFIELD, AL — Miles College will partner with Cahaba Medical Care to administer the COVID-19 vaccine to community members at the Miles College Gymnasium Thursday.
Cahaba Medical Care staff will begin giving doses of the Moderna vaccine at 9 a.m. Miles College Gymnasium is at 405 59th St. in Fairfield. Due to severe weather threats in Birmingham, the clinic will end at 1 p.m.

- People age 16-64 with underlying medical conditions
- Anyone 65 or older
- first responders, educators, and essential workers.
"We noticed a shortage of vaccination centers in the western area, and it is our desire to help bridge that gap," said Bobbie Knight, Miles College President. "We believe that It is paramount that members of the community have access to this vaccine if they should choose to get it."
