United Airlines Adding Non-Stop Flights For Bama Football Games
United is adding some previously-unavailable non-stop flights for some of Alabama's away football games this year.

BIRMINGHAM, AL - College football season is drawing closer, and with each day closer to kickoff, football fans are making travel plans to see their teams play on the road. United Airlines made an announcement this week that should help that planning for Alabama fans.
The airline announced it will offer non-stop flights to two of Alabama's away-game destinations. These are non-stop flights that are not normally available fro Birmingham-Shuttlesworth Airport in Birmingham.
United will offer a direct flight from Birmingham-Shuttlesworth Airport to the Columbia Metropolitan Airport (CAE) for the Sept. 14 Alabama game against the University of South Carolina. The 50-seat flight will leave BHM on Sept. 13 and return on Sept. 15.

United will also offer a non-stop flight for Alabama fans from BHM to the Easterwood Regional Airport (CLL) for the Oct. 12 game against Texas A&M University. The 179-seat flight will leave BHM on Oct. 11 and return on Oct. 13, according to a Birmingham Business Journal report.
