Woman Killed, Man Injured In Ensley Shooting

BIRMINGHAM, AL — A Birmingham woman is dead and a man hospitalized after a shooting Sunday in Ensley. The incident occurred just after 2 a.m. at the intersection of Avenue V at Warrior Road.

Officer Truman Fitzgerald of the Birmingham Police Department said the preliminary investigation suggests the victims had just left Club Euphoria on 15th Street West when an unknown vehicle pulled up alongside them and fired shots into their vehicle.

Both victims were taken to UAB Hospital where the woman, Lykeria Taylor, died Monday morning. The man is expected to recover from his injuries.
