1 Dead, 1 Injured In Separate Wrecks In Hoover

HOOVER, AL — A fatal traffic accident was reported by Hoover police Wednesday morning. The incident occurred just before 6 a.m. on I-459 near the I-65 interchange.

Police said a 4-door sedan was traveling I-459 northbound when it left the roadway and struck a concrete pole. The driver was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced deceased at the scene by Hoover Fire-medics.

Hoover officers are investigating this accident to determine its cause. The victim’s identity is being withheld pending next-of-kin notification.

Another wreck occurred on Highway 150 at I-459 in Hoover Wednesday morning. One victim was taken to the hospital with injuries. The wreck caused the closure of two lanes on Highway 150.
