Boots v. Badges Blood Drive Set For July 24
The Hoover PD and Hoover FD are teaming up again for a blood drive Wednesday, July 24.
HOOVER, AL — For the second year, the Hoover Police Department and Hoover Fire Department are teaming up - or, in this case, facing off - in a blood drive set for July 24. The Boots v. Badges Blood Drive is a friendly competition between Hoover PD and Hoover FD to see who can get the most votes/donations from the community.
The event is Wednesday from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. at the Public Safety Center 2020 Valleydale Road.To expedite the donation process, donors are asked to make an appointment before arriving.
Donors get a 2019 Boots vs Badges t-shirt (while supplies last). Then, they can vote for their favorite agency - Hoover PD or Hoover FD. The agency with the most votes will get bragging rights and a trophy.
