Bucs, Jags Ranked In 7A Top 10

HOOVER, AL — Following wins last week, both Hoover and Spain Park are ranked in the Alabama Sports Writers Association top 10 this week. Both teams enter the week 2-0 this season, with 7A foes ahead Friday.

The Bucs trounced Bessemer City 62-0 last week, and Spain Park beat Briarwood 21-14, with both games serving as warm-ups for their regional opponents this week.

Third-ranked Hoover takes on Vestavia Hills in what will be Vestavia's first game of the season after the Rebels had to forfeit the first two games due to COVID-19 concerns.

Spain Park, ranked 10th this week, hosts 2nd-ranked Hewitt-Trussville this week in a match-up that will certainly affect next week's 7A rankings.
