Burger Restaurant Opening New Location In Hoover

HOOVER, AL - Hwy 55, a retro-themes burger restaurant, announced it will open a location in Hoover this week, at a spot behind the Galleria. The new restaurant, the fifth in Alabama, will open on March 13 and will add 30 jobs to the community. The restaurant already operates locations in Homewood, Leeds, Pell City and Tuscaloosa.

"I fell in love with the Hwy 55 brand the moment I walked in the door. After I opened our Tuscaloosa location two years ago, I knew I wanted to bring good times and great food to the fine folks in the Birmingham area,” said Derrick Maddox, Hwy 55’s master franchisee for Alabama. “We are thrilled to be a part of the Hoover community. The people here are polite and helpful so we know Hwy 55’s family-friendly concept and dedication to authentic hospitality will fit right in.”

To celebrate joining the Hoover community, Hwy 55’s Andy’s Charitable Foundation will donate 10 percent of sales from the restaurant’s first three days to Pink Topps, a foundation fighting breast cancer in young adults. Andy’s Charitable Foundation is Hwy 55’s most visible commitment to community involvement.

While celebrating its 27th year in business, Hwy 55 has sold the rights to more than 1,000 franchise locations around the world. Hwy 55 has also signed franchise agreements for West Virginia, Louisiana, Kentucky and southern Indiana and Virginia in the past year. The brand plans to open approximately 25 locations in 2018.

The Hwy 55 of Hoover’s hours are 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. – 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. The Hoover restaurant is located at 3230 Galleria Circle, Suite 101.
