Hoover ABC Store Among 41 Closed Due To COVID-19
The Alabama ABC Board will close 41 stores throughout the state in response to rising COVID-19 cases.
HOOVER, AL — Retail keeps taking a significant hit amid the COVID-19 pandemic, and the Alabama ABC Board has opted to temporarily close 41 of its liquor stores throughout the state in response. One of those stores is located in Hoover.
Among the list of stores that will shutter Jan. 16 is Hoover Store #92, at 5180 Caldwell Mill Road.
"Closing some of our stores will provide the greatest amount of employee/customer protection, while ensuring maximum productivity and efficiency," ABC Board Administrator Mac Gipson said in a release. "Our primary concern is the health and well-being of our employees and patrons."

The stores affected are expected to reopen in late February or early March.
