Hoover Chamber Of Commerce Names New CEO

The Hoover Chamber of Commerce tapped a new leader Friday after an extensive search for its CEO.

HOOVER, AL — After an extensive search that had narrowed down 12 candidates for the position, the Hoover Chamber of Commerce announced Toni Herrera-Bast as its new CEO. The Chamber made the announcement Friday.

Herrera-Bast comes to the Hoover Chamber of Commerce from YWCA of Central Alabama. Prior to that, she was director of media relations for the Raleigh-Durham International Airport and for 15 years was public relations and marketing manager for the Birmingham Airport Authority.

"Toni has an extensive background in public relations and communications; this, combined with experience in not-for-profit and for-profit management executive positions, makes Toni very qualified to lead our Chamber," said Paul Dangel, Chair of the Hoover Area Chamber of Commerce board of directors in a release. "We expect Toni to not only continue the Hoover Area Chamber of Commerce’s excellent programs, but to work with partners, members, investors, and community stakeholders as we launch a strategic plan with the goal of bringing the Hoover Area Chamber of Commerce to an amazing new level."

Herrera-Bast will start her position March 1.
