Hoover City Hall Renovations To Begin Next Year
A $2.7 million renovation project is set to begin in 2020, and will last 10 months.

HOOVER, AL — Hoover City Hall will have a different look by the end of next year. That is because the building will undergo a $2.7 million renovation in 2020, a project expected to take approximately 10 months.
A Birmingham Business Journal report said the renovation will create more meeting space and nicer facilities and will address the moisture problems that have been an ongoing issue with the municipal buildings.
- The project will include:
- Rebuilding council chambers
- Rebuilding council conference room
- Rebuilding council offices
- Rebuilding administrative offices
- Building a small conference room
- Expanding third floor lobby area
- Adding a new large room to the third floor for meeting space for the community and city employees.
- Repairing glass bridge that goes over Municipal Lane to the Hoover Public Library
Public meetings will be held at the Hoover Senior Center until renovations are complete.
