Hoover Finds Replacement Opponent For Season Opener
Hoover High School will go on the road Friday to open its 2020 football season, having found a replacement opponent.
HOOVER, AL — After having two opening game opponents cancel due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Hoover Hiogh School's football team has a new opponent for Friday. The Bucs will travel to Phenix City to play Central High School.
Hoover was originally slated to play Lowndes High School in Georgia, then when the pandemic hit Lowndes pulled out of the game. They were replaced on Hoover's schedule by Dothan High School, who announced Monday they had to cancel the game due to COVID-19 quarantine.
Hoover defeated Central-Phenix City 17-14 last year.
