Hoover Moves Up In 7A Poll, Prepares For Playoffs

HOOVER, AL — Hoover's convincing win over Mountain Brook last week, coupled with a loss by previously unbeaten Thompson, moved the Bucs up a notch in the most recent Alabama Sports Writers Association rankings released Wednesday.

The Bucs soundly defeated Mountain Brook 34-10 last week, and will enter this week's game against national powerhouse IMG Academy with a no. 3 ranking.

Regardless of the outcome of this week's game, Hoover will host Sparkman in the first round of the AHSAA playoffs next week.
