Hoover Names Greg Knighton As Economic Developer

Greg Knighton will start his new position as economic developer for Hoover Dec. 18.

HOOVER, AL— Greg Knighton, vice president of the Economic Development Partnership of Alabama (EDPA), has been hired to fill the new position of Hoover’s economic developer. With just over 20 years experience with the EDPA, as well as being a longtime Hoover resident, Knighton will be able to bring new ideas to the city as it continues to broaden its horizons. One of the priorities he has already addressed will be to bring more STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) companies to Hoover.

As mentioned in a previous Hoover Patch post, the city is trying to develop new ways of economic growth as it ushers in the next 50 years with the Future Hoover initiative. Knighton begins his duties as economic developer on Dec. 18.
