Hoover Officials: Water Main Break Causing Traffic Backup

HOOVER, AL—A water main break at the intersection of Highway 150 and Highway 31 near the Mercedes dealership in Hoover is currently creating bumper-to-bumper traffic, according to Hoover city officials.

Workers with Birmingham Water Works are on site working to fix the problem, they said.

City officials said the issue is causing a backup in traffic and interruption of water services for some area businesses.

Drivers are asked to avoid the area if possible.
