Hoover Police Search For Robbery Suspect

HOOVER, AL — Hoover police are searching for a suspect in a robbery that occurred at an ATM outside a BBVA branch. The incident occurred Monday afternoon at the BBVA branch at 1560 Montgomery Highway.

Police say the victim was making a withdrawal at the ATM when a white male approached her from behind, armed with a handgun. She said he demanded her money, purse and cellphone before fleeing the area in a white or silver SUV. No injuries were reported.

The suspect is described as middle-aged white male with a beard, wearing a baseball cap. Hoover police posted security photos of the suspect and his vehicle on social media Tuesday:
