Hoover and Spain Park Sports Recap
With football and swimming/diving seasons coming to an end, wrestling, basketball and track are just heating up this December.

HOOVER, AL— As Hoover’s 2017 football season will come to a close with its match up against McGill-Toolen, Wednesday at Bryant-Denny in Tuscaloosa for the Class 7A state championship game, the Bucs and Lady Bucs have been busy the plethora of other sports they’re competitive in.
This past weekend, Hoover and Spain Park swim teams took several top three finishes at the state meet. Notably, Spain Park’s Ward Lockhart set a new state record of 4:38.88, according to the AHSAA. He beat out his fellow swimmers by over eight seconds.
