Hoover's First Football Game Cancelled Due To COVID-19 Quarantine

Dothan High School, Hoover's opponent for the first football game of the 2020 season, has to bow out of the game due to COVID-19 quarantine.

HOOVER, AL — Hoover High School with have to wait another week to start its 2020 football season. The Bucs' opponent, Dothan High School has had to cancel the game due to COVID-19 quarantine, according to a WBRC report.

Hoover officials said they will search for another opponent, but with the game scheduled for this coming Friday, finding a new opponent might be difficult.

Earlier in the month, Vestavia Hills High School cancelled the first two games of its season, leaving Mountain Brook — who was the Rebels' first opponent — without a game this Friday as well.
