Jags Fall Out Of Top 10, Bucs Hold Steady
The Alabama Sports Writers Association poll has Hoover still ranked in the top 5 in Class 7A.
HOOVER, AL — Hoover's high schools enjoyed just one week of joining each other in the Alabama Sports Writers Association football poll, as Spain Park dropped out of this week's top 10 after a loss last week. Hoover remains ranked no. 3 in the poll.
The Jags were toppled by 2nd-ranked Hewitt-Trussville 45-13 last week, dropping the team out of the top 10. Spain Park's schedule does not get any easier this week as the Jags take on top-ranked Thompson.
Hoover escaped with a 24-21 win over Vestavia Hills last week, which was good enough to keep the Bucs ranked third behind Hewitt-Trussville and Thompson this week. The 3-0 Bucs will play 2-1 Gadsden City this week.
