Municipal Elections Will Not Be Postponed: Committee
The League of Municipalities will not postpone August elections amid the coronavirus pandemic.
MONTGOMERY, AL — Although many local municipalities were looking into postponing their elections this August amid the coronavirus pandemic, the Alabama League of MunicipalitiesWednesday decided against trying to delay the elections, according to an Alabama Media Group report.
Municipal elections in Hoover, Mountain Brook, Vestavia Hills and several other Jefferson County municipalities were set for August 25 this year, and will remain scheduled for that date barring anything unforeseen, al.com reported.
