National Restaurant Chain Could Return To Birmingham Area
Melting Pot, which has had locations in the Birmingham metro in the past, is looking to return to the area.
BIRMINGHAM, AL — A national fondue restaurant chain that once operated multiple locations in the Birmingham area is looking to return to the market. The Melting Pot is looking at several possible locations in the metro area, according to a Birmingham Business Journal report.
The restaurant chain exited the metro Birmingham market in 2018, but is looking at several Birmingham neighborhoods and suburbs, including Forest Park, Homewood, Hoover and Mountain Brook.
"There has always been a strong desire for Melting Pot to return to Birmingham," Shak Turner, senior director of franchise development for Front Burner Brands said in the BBJ report. "We implemented dynamic marketing and operations enhancements that helped Melting Pot perform well in 2020. This has positioned the brand well for an expansion strategy, and Birmingham is one of those key markets we’re targeting. We’re now looking to partner with an owner-operator in the market who is passionate about customer service and the guest experience."
