New Pet Resort And Grooming Facility Opens In Hoover
PetSuites is holding a grand opening celebration throughout May at its new location in Hoover.

HOOVER, AL — A new pet report and spa is now open in Hoover, as PetSuites will celebrate its grand opening throughout the month of May.
PetSuites is located at 2311 John Hawkins Parkway, and offers boarding, training, grooming and even "puppy preschool." The 14,240-square-foot facility features 140 pet suites and could hold up to 182 dogs when dogs from the same family share a suite. Each suite has a TV and raised beds with cushions for the dogs, with solid walls between the suites so dogs not from the same family would not see each other.
With summer coming up and people making travel plans, boarding pets becomes a priority, which officials with PetSuites say makes the Hoover opening timely.

"There has been a major increase in pet adoptions over the course of the pandemic, but so many people have come to realize pets can be a lot of work," PetSuites officials said in a statement. "Training them isn't always easy - especially if it's a first pet. And, with our cities opening back up and summer around the corner, pet parents are going to need new options for daycare and boarding."
The opening of the Hoover PetSuites has been a long time coming. After being denied a business license by the Hoover City Council in November of 2018, the owners of PetSuites were approved by the Hoover Zoning Board in January of 2019. The initial concern by the council involved possible noise issues that could affect nearby residents.
