Riverchase Galleria Black Friday Schedule 2019: What To Know

HOOVER, AL — The Riverchase Galleria is one of the state's most popular shopping destinations, and one of the biggest tourist attractions in the Birmingham metro. Black Friday should be no exception, as shoppers flock to the Hoover mall for holiday deals.

The Galleria will be open Thanksgiving day from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., but not all stores will be open, The mall's anchor stores, like Belk and Macy's, will be open, however.

On Black Friday, all of the stores will open at 6 a.m., and stay open until 10 p.m. The mall will return to its regular hours of 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday following Black Friday.

Thanksgiving marks the one year anniversary of the deadly police shooting at the Galleria which took the life of Emantic "EJ" Bradford. Galleria officials took that into consideration when deciding on holiday hours of operation.

“The new hours were chosen based on a historical look at property activity after 9:00 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day," said Riverchase Galleria General Manager Mike White. "These hours, coupled with continued robust security, will be an effective means of providing the best, safest shopping experience during the busy shopping season."
