Shelby County Gun Dealer Reports Missing Guns To Police
Nichols Outfitters reported 19 lost guns from the store's inventory after a recent audit.
PELHAM, AL — A gun dealer in Pelham reported several missing firearms from its inventory after a recent audit with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. Nichols Outfitters discovered 19 missing guns during the audit, according to an ABC 33/40 report.
Owners of the dun dealer told ABC 33/40 the missing guns could be the result of a clerical error in the store's system, rather than being lost or stolen.
This type of logging error is unfortunately common, according to the ATF.
