Sunday Morning Alcohol Sales Approved By Hoover Council
The Sunday Brunch Ordinance will allow restaurants to serve alcohol two hours earlier on Sundays.
HOOVER, AL — Anyone for mimosas? The Hoover City Council Monday night passed the Sunday Brunch Ordinance, which will allow restaurants to sell alcohol starting at 10 a.m. on Sundays. Previously, alcohol sales were only permitted after noon.
The ordinance passed unanimously. The ordinance only covers alcohol sales by restaurants and on-premise only. Grocery stores and other business that sell off-premise alcohol will still have to wait until noon on Sundays to sell alcohol.
The ordinance goes into effect immediately.
